Students must activate and begin checking their SHU email account for official communication between University offices and students.

    Accessing Your SHU Email Account

    At least 24 hours after setting up your SHU account, check your email by visiting the Sacred Heart University website and selecting the mySHU link located in the footer.

    • Log in using your SHU email address and the password you created. After logging into the "mySHU" portal, select the Office365 (email) link under the Quick Links section of the page to access your Sacred Heart email. The first time you log into your email, you will be asked to set up the language and the time zone.
    • To protect your email account information, SHU uses multi-factor authentication (MFA). In addition to setting up your email and password, there will be an additional step in the form of a text or phone call. Detailed instructions for setting up MFA.

    All SHU-related correspondence in the future (including emails regarding Orientation) will now be sent to your Sacred Heart email account. You are required to check this account frequently.
