Nidhi Shrivastava, Ph.D.

Lecturer, English
Dr. Shrivastava is working on her monograph, India’s Daughters: #MeToo, Politics of Forgetting and Representations of Gendered Violence in 1947 Partition Narratives (1948-Present), which explores the history of rape in Hindi cinema, the 1947 Partition Archive and the limited success of #MeToo India. She recently presented at the Modern Language Association (MLA) annual conference in Philadelphia and will be published in the MLA anthology Teaching South Asian Anglophone Diasporic Literature in May 2024.

Bill Mag Fhloinn

Lecturer, Dingle Campus
Mag Fhloinn is a lecturer at SHU’s Dingle, Ireland, campus, where he teaches courses on prehistoric rituals and beliefs. The Ireland experience includes field exploration of burial sites and temples, getting a sense of the deep past. Mag Fhloinn made international headlines recently when, as part of an ongoing project mapping the peninsula’s cultural environment, he rediscovered a 4,500-year-old tomb. There’s always more to discover.

The overarching goals of SHU’s College of Arts & Sciences are:

  • The development of skills in reading, writing, and oral communication; critical thinking; and quantitative and scientific reasoning
  • The cultivation of intellectual inquiry, lifelong learning, and civic engagement, especially as relates to social justice and the common good
