Are you passionate about volunteering and building meaningful relationships in your new community? Community Connections offers the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded friends, engage with inspiring mentors and explore your new surroundings on and off campus—all while making a lasting impact.
Program highlights include:
- Building lasting friendships with other incoming students who share your passion for service and social justice through fun group activities
- Engaging with mentors through collaborations with upperclassmen students who will guide you and help you feel at home
- Immersing yourself in your community by working together on meaningful, hands-on service projects with local nonprofit organizations
- Learning through collaboration with faculty, staff, students and community leaders to deepen your understanding of real-world issues
- Kick-starting your college experience by earning community service hours, gaining insights into urban challenges and creating an impact alongside your peers

Applying for Community Connections my freshman year was the best decision I could have made as an incoming college student. I connected with members of my new community, and I truly felt that the volunteer work I was doing made a difference within the community and within myself.
