The SHU community is coming together now through noon Thursday. Be a part of the impact and support what you love most. One Day. One Heart. One Community.
A week of theatre for the true theatre lover!
Students will participate in hands-on theatre experiences and express themselves creatively with staff and other new students. The program introduces like-minded students to one another, as well as industry professionals.
Program Highlights
- Meeting other students interested in theatre
- Participating in workshops, including audition techniques, playwriting, vocal, acting, movement and dance and technical
- Connecting with student mentors through fun social group activities
- Taking a day trip into New York City to see a Broadway show (Show TBD)
Become engaged in all things theatre and learn about opportunities to get involved, not only on stage but also “behind the curtain.”

Sacred Heart's Behind the Curtain pre-fall program truly made my experience here at SHU unforgettable, giving me confidence, community and a deeper appreciation for the arts. The pre-fall leaders were amazing and introduced us to various workshops that definitely helped prepare us for every upcoming event we take on in college. Overall, it was such a warm and welcoming space that made my experience here at SHU meaningful, along with all the beautiful people I’ve met on the way.
