Student Involvement
College is a pivotal and transformative time in life. It’s a period of exploring the world, discovering new ideas and learning more about yourself. This is why Student Involvement is dedicated to supporting and empowering student leaders and their organizations in pursuing their programs and initiatives.
Purpose
Student Involvement, within the Student Life department, oversees undergraduate student clubs and organizations, campus programming, traditions and leadership experiences.
SHU Engage
SHU Engage is the platform to find out what's happening on campus. Check out and RSVP for campus events, learn about clubs and organizations and discover resources for maintaining an active club.
Student Involvement provides a comprehensive co-curricular program that enhances the college experience and supports the growth of students in mind, body and spirit. The office works closely with campus and community partners to design meaningful experiences that foster student learning beyond the classroom. These opportunities help students develop their strengths, skills and leadership abilities, which will prepare them for success during their college years and in their future endeavors.
To support students in developing the skills needed to become effective and empathetic leaders who make a socially just and positive impact on campus and in the world around them.
