SHU’s Program for DBA in Finance Ranks Among Top Five in the U.S.
Students can earn their doctoral degree in three years while working full-time
Sacred Heart University’s doctor of business administration (DBA) in finance program has rated among the top five DBA programs in the U.S., according to College Consensus. This website analyzes results from college-ranking publishers and from online student reviews to curate the most accurate information on schools’ reputations and quality.
According to College Consensus’s account of its methodology, it culls ratings from four leading publishers in the field: Bloomberg Businessweek, U.S. News and World Report, CEO Magazine and Forbes.
Sacred Heart’s DBA program enables students to advance their intellect in finance and acquire the necessary research skills to direct independent, complex financial projects. Additionally, they will gain a worldly outlook towards financial markets and institution-related issues. The DBA program is housed in SHU’s Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT), one of fewer than 5% of elite business schools worldwide that is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.
Students in this program benefit from a unique student cohort model, hands-on learning laboratories and blended meeting formats. They learn from accomplished faculty with a record of prestigious scholarship and professional experience. Additionally, students who have full-time jobs can still earn their DBA in three years.
“It is a great honor to see our DBA program ranked among the top five in the country,” said Lucjan Orlowski, program director and professor of economics and finance. “Our WCBT community is most deserving of the recognition. It is all a result of their hard work and dedication.”
College Consensus emphasizes the DBA degree’s value, stating on its website, “Because of the volume of MBA grads in the business world today, pursuing a DBA may well be the equivalent of achieving an MBA two decades ago.”
