I arrived at Sacred Heart undecided on what to study, and I am graduating with a bachelor's in criminal justice and a minor in psychology. It’s hard to put into words just how supportive the administrators, professors and advisers have been during my time at Sacred Heart. The classes are all different and interesting. I am walking away with a great deal of knowledge that I can use in my next steps. I attribute my newfound love for criminal justice to Sacred Heart University, and I am so thankful I chose this path.

Dual Degree Program Options for Criminal Justice Majors
Sacred Heart University’s dual degree programs provide a defined pathway for incoming freshmen to move seamlessly from an undergraduate to a graduate degree.
While some of our dual degree programs require specific undergraduate majors, others are open to almost all undergraduate disciplines. Apply to a dual degree program as an incoming freshman and you’ll have the opportunity to be admitted directly into the graduate program of your choice at the same time as your admission as an undergraduate student. Students are encouraged to reach out to your admissions counselor to discuss dual degree options.

With a criminal justice degree, you’ll be prepared for a career in law enforcement, security management, corrections, crime prevention, law, victim assistance and policy making. Criminal Justice graduates find employment in a variety of settings, including:

Where Can You Go with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice?
Sacred Heart offers a fully online Master of Public Administration (MPA) program with concentrations in criminal justice, emergency management and non-profit management—or develop a self-designated concentration. The program can be completed full time in one year or part time in two years.
I am forever grateful to Sacred Heart University’s criminal justice department for challenging me to think beyond text and theory. I have benefited from personalized learning experiences in my classes, which have allowed for increased interactions with knowledgeable professors. The educational experiences I gained over the past four years have prepared me to enter into the next phase of my life, as I transition into law school.
