At Sacred Heart University, computer science & information technology dual degree program students learn the latest technologies and software as they earn their bachelor's and master's degrees in just five years, saving them time and money.
Dual degree students are guaranteed admission to the Master of Science in Computer Science & Information Technology program provided they continue, as undergraduate students, to meet program-specific criteria to progress into graduate program enrollment.

Why Earn Your Bachelor’s-Master of Science in Computer Science & Information Technology at Sacred Heart?
Computer Science & Information Technology students will study at Jack Welch College of Business & Technology, one of fewer than five percent of elite business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB International. Throughout the program, students will study machine learning, deep learning, data communications, network security, Oracle, Artificial Intelligence (AI). and software engineering. They also learn to use software including .Net 2019 (C#, ASP.net, VB.net), Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Dreamweaver, Animate, Photoshop and others), Java, C++, Python, “R” and more. Students will be encouraged to apply for internships with one of Sacred Heart University's many corporate connections. These opportunities give students the opportunity to apply what they have learned about the latest technology and software in real-world professional experience, giving them the competitive edge to succeed in today’s job market once they graduate.

As undergraduates, students have an academic adviser, as well as other faculty and staff resources that help them stay on track and progress toward their graduate degree. Industry-specific events and student clubs are also available for undergraduate students to become more deeply involved in their graduate field.

Students who participate in dual degree programs may save on tuition costs as compared to completing a separate graduate program.

When you take advantage of the dual degree program, your spot in graduate school is already reserved. There’s no need for last-minute applications to graduate school during the final months of senior year.
Criteria to Progress to the Master of Science in Computer Science & Information Technology (CSIT)
Dual degree students must meet program-specific guidelines to progress through the dual degree program and enroll in the CSIT program.
- Successful completion of the bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to matriculate into the CSIT program

Criteria to Progress to the Master of Science in Chemistry Program
Students admitted to the dual degree program must continue, as undergraduate students, to meet program-specific criteria in order to progress to enrollment in the MS in Chemistry program:
- Successful completion of the bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular & Cellular Biology or Biology with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Students must earn a grade of C or better in all major courses
Students Biology or Molecular & Cellular Biology must complete the following prerequisites with a grade of C or better:
- General Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Biochemistry
