Criteria to Progress to the Master of Arts in Journalism & Media Production Program

Students must meet program-specific guidelines to progress through the dual degree program and enroll in the journalism & media production master's program:

• Successful completion of the bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Minimum grade of a B in any graduate-level courses taken as an undergraduate.
• Submission of a two-page personal statement addressing the following questions:
  • Why are you applying to the JMP program at Sacred Heart University?
  • What are your journalistic and/or media production goals?
  • What issues and subjects interest you that you hope to explore in the JMP program?
