Chloe Lal
President
Chloe Lal is a third year DPT student from Shrewsbury, MA. She graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2021 with a Bachelors of Exercise Science and a Minor in Dance. As an undergraduate student, she was elected to serve as the President of the SHU Pre-PT Club during her Junior and Senior years. Her passion for physical therapy began at a young age when her love for dance ignited a curiosity to better understand biomechanics. From her earliest days as a dancer, all the way to being a member of the SHU Dance Company, Chloe grew up fascinated with movement and the role of the body in achieving it. After sustaining an injury on stage in high school that required physical therapy, Chloe became curious about the profession and eventually knew that a career in Physical Therapy was what she wanted to pursue. Although she is interested in orthopedics, she is open to working in any PT setting. In her free time, Chloe enjoys working at SHU Fit (university faculty gym), where she mentors members on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Chloe loves to travel the world, spend time with family and friends and everything Disney.

Colleen always had a passion for healthcare, but it was through her experience as a patient that she first became interested in Physical Therapy as a career. She was able to see first hand the significant role that a Physical Therapist plays in restoring a patient's health so that they can be the strongest version of themselves. Colleen remains open and eager to work in any PT setting but is currently most interested in working with patients who suffer from neurological disorders. In her free time Colleen enjoys working out, spending time with friends and going to the beach.

She is interested in neurological and pediatric physical therapy, but is currently unsure of the setting and wants to keep an open mind as she goes into clinical experiences. Her work experiences since graduating from Lasell have affirmed her desire to improve the lives of others through movement, motivation, and patient education. She hopes to gain experience in as many physical therapy settings as possible during her time at Sacred Heart University. During her free time, she enjoys playing in co-ed soccer leagues, taking walks with her dog and just being outside.
“The Pre-Physical Therapy Club has given SHU students interested in PT the chance to explore this incredible field while learning the steps of what it takes to become a DPT. This club has a ton of opportunities to get more involved in the Physical Therapy career path. For example, it offers volunteer opportunities, different places to obtain observation hours, resume workshops and even Q&As from DPT students at SHU! This club is special because although many club members have different majors like Biology, Exercise Science, Health Science and Psychology, everyone is gathered together for one common goal: wanting to help heal others in the future. This club is very beneficial for students who are interested in pursuing this profession and has introduced me to many people who share the same passion for Physical Therapy as me. I am grateful to hold the position of Events Coordinator, and look forward to helping members of this club by providing new and exciting events for them take part in!” - Lauren Miastkowski, Class of 2021
