Public Health Club
The Public Health Club focuses on bringing awareness to public health issues and to increase the subject. They are focused on building a platform for students who are interested in Public Health. They work closely with the Public Health department and help students gain experience during their time as a member of the club.
"The Public Health Club is an organization open to all students interested pursuing a career within public health. It is a creative and engaging environment where you will learn about current public health issues within our community. The club also helps educate us on our major and the numerous opportunities we will have while working in public health after graduate school. Join us in staying up to date with current public health issues, spreading awareness around campus and participating in service opportunities. The Public Health Club is a great way to get involved!" ~Ashley Gulick, Class of 2021
Medical Reserve Corps
Sacred Heart’s campus-based MRC unit was established in the Davis & Henley College of Nursing in 2012 by Linda Strong, Ed.D., RN, a veteran public health nurse and active Bridgeport community volunteer. We are the only college-based MRC in Connecticut and one of 15 across the United States. The SHU MRC aligns with our University mission to promote social justice, encourage students, faculty and staff to respect the dignity of every person, promote the common good and serve others, especially the marginalized and underserved.
