American Chemical Society
The student affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society is very active in bringing science to the community and bringing Sacred Heart closer with the chemical community. The chapter participates in outreach programs with local schools that involve everything from performing simple experiments with kids to judging high school science fairs. Around campus we engage students with guest speakers, fundraisers, and science related events that are not only educational, but fun!
"I love this club because it allows me to share my love of chemistry with others. Chemistry can be visually really fun and cool, so it's awesome to ignite learning and interest in people with a simple chemical reaction."

The Chemistry department at Sacred Heart University founded and inducted its first members of the Tau Beta Chapter of Gamma Sigma Epsilon in 2010. The honor society promotes camaraderie among like-minded students. Student members often participate in and partner with the Sacred Heart University American Chemical Society Student Affiliate chapter’s activities.
