The Student Affairs Lecture series is designed to bring guest speakers to campus and provide the SHU community with different perspectives, experiences and talents from a variety of accomplished individuals covering a broad spectrum of topics. The goal is to create engagement opportunities for our students as part of a constant conversation about events and ideas that surround us, within our community and globally.

Embrace learning for life. Challenge yourself. Find inspiration.

Speaker Recommendations

If you would like to recommend a speaker for this upcoming year, please email Ray Mencio, Executive Director of Campus Life, at r-mencio@sacredheart.edu with the name of the speaker, why they would make a good lecture series speaker and how the speaker could be incorporated into the curriculum. While all recommendations will be considered, speaker costs, availability and topics will be factored in when Student Life is making the final decision.

Criteria

  • Nationally Recognized Speaker
  • Academic in focus but would appeal to a cross section of the SHU student body and community
