About Delta Tau Delta

Delta Tau Delta was founded in 1858 at Bethany College in present day West Virginia. Born of the knowledge that integrity is essential, the founding principles of Truth, Courage, Faith and Power have provided a guide for its membership. Since 1858 the Fraternity has spread to over 200 campuses with 125 active chapters and colonies comprised of over 7,000 undergraduate members. In 150 years more than 150,000 men have become members of Delta Tau Delta.

Mission & Values

Our members are committed to living lives that reflect themselves, the Fraternity and every part of their being to a level of excellence. We as a Fraternity are dedicated to helping men achieve this level of excellence in their own lives. The four fundamental principles of Delta Tau Delta are Truth, Courage, Faith, and Power.

Philanthropy

Delta Tau Delta ShieldDelta Tau Delta has had a national philanthropic partnership since 2012 with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This partnership engages the Fraternity's more than 30 chapters and colonies on college campuses nationwide to work closely with local JDRF chapters to help raise funds and awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D). Since the partnership began, Delta Tau Delta chapters have raised more than $1 million for T1D research.

The local philanthropy of the Iota Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta is raising awareness against sexual assault and domestic violence. Each year, working very closely with the Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport, the brothers of Delta Tau Delta put on multiple events to raise this awareness. This includes our annual White Ribbon Campaign and the SHU Walk to End Violence Against Women and Girls. In the past year alone, we have raised over a thousand dollars for the Center of Family Justice, as our main goal is to put an ends to sexual assault and domestic violence in both our community and around the world.
