Beta Theta Pi
About Beta Theta Pi
In 1839, eight outstanding men founded Beta Theta Pi at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Beta Theta Pi was the first fraternity created west of the Allegheny Mountains. The founders were dedicated to creating an organization that drove men to be the best version of themselves. Today, members proudly represent the fraternity at 138 campuses, boasting an undergraduate population of over 10,000 and a lifetime membership of over 205,000. Some of our most notable Betas include Bill Bowerman, co-founder of Nike; Sam Walton, founder of Walmart; John Wooden, renowned basketball player and coach; and Adam West, an actor widely known for his role as Batman in the 1960s series.
