Asian American Pacific Islander Club

The Asian American Pacific Islander club was created towards the establishment and support of students with AAPI Heritage as well as allies. It is our goal to create a safe place in which students of different backgrounds can come together to connect, inspire, and have difficult conversations that improve social awareness for all out sacred heart’s campus and outside community.

Black Student Union

The purpose of the Black Student Union is to serve as a liaison primarily between students of African descent (and other minorities) and faculty/staff within in Sacred Heart Community. The Black Student Union is a place to gather and exchange ideas and experiences that students can use to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of how to best serve the community they represent.

Italian Club

The purpose of the Italian club is to foster understanding and appreciation of the Italian and Italian-American culture through lecture, social activities, and film. Previous events hosted by the Italian Club, include an Italian Feast, Italian Coffee House and a trip to Little Italy in NYC.

La Hispanidad

This organization gives students interested in Spanish and Latino heritage the opportunity to get together, exchange ideas, and become acquainted with one another. Moreover, La Hispanidad helps develop relationships and acts as a liaison with Sacred Heart University and the Spanish Community.

Multicultural Council

The mission of the Multicultural Council is to enhance the experiences of all SHU full-time undergraduate students through council sponsored events each semester and co-sponsored events with various cultural clubs under the activities.

Respect the ABILITY

Designed to foster a culture where all people are treated with equality, dignity and respect and have equal opportunities to participate in a community where abilities, rather than disabilities, are recognized. The organization provides support in social aspects, as well as provides a means to educate the SHU community, to have a better understanding of disabilities through exposure, awareness and interaction. It aims to show the intersectionality between diversity, equity and inclusion.

Slavic Club

The Slavic Club aims to bring together the Sacred Heart University community by promoting Slavic culture and traditional customs, including Polish, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, Slovakian, Czech, Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Serbian, North Macedonian, Bulgarian and all other Slavic cultures.

Ukrainian Club

The Ukrainian Club allows Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians to gather to learn about the beautiful Ukrainian culture. By using fun activities, informational presentations and introducing Ukrainian traditions, the club enhances our SHU community's knowledge on Ukrainian values and heritage.
