Join other students who have a shared commitment to the pursuit of health and wellness. The SHU-WELL Living Learning Community (LLC) will provide you with opportunities to experience personal growth and explore issues related to the seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental and occupational well-being.
Participate in group discussions on topics such as eating well, active living, academic adjustment, stress management, spiritual health and wellness in the local community, nation and world. Past events have included group trips to the Valentine Health & Recreation Center, hikes on local trails, yoga and meditation sessions and community service projects. Class topics have included goal setting, resume writing and cultural enrichment workshops. Students will be expected to attend class and participate in group activities, class presentations and written assignments.
Living with a group of freshmen in the SHU-WELL LLC and participating together in health and wellness activities allows you to bond and create great memories! Research consistently demonstrates that the health and wellness habits that students develop in college create the foundation for lifelong behaviors.
