Dr. Terleph works in the areas of animal behavior and behavioral neuroscience, and he has conducted research in both field and lab settings. For the past several years Dr. Terleph and his students have recorded and analyzed the complex vocal duet behaviors of White-Handed Gibbons (Hylobates lar) and Pileated Gibbons (Hylobates pileatus), from wild populations in Thailand.
