Professor Susan Gannon has been a full-time faculty member of Sacred Heart University since 2010 and an adjunct instructor since 2005.  She received a fellowship award from SCSU for research in teacher training of gifted students.  She has presented in statewide and national conferences and her research was instrumental in lobbying for programming for gifted students in Connecticut.  She directed the first Reading Readiness Program in Naugatuck, CT, and has taught and acted as a literacy coach in private and public schools for over a decade.  She has taught in both graduate schools and undergraduate programs in the departments of psychology and education.  In addition, she has created curriculum for support group workshops for clients with anxiety and substance abuse issues in private psychiatric settings.  In her off-time, Professor Gannon enjoys cooking and fiber art.
