Sonal Vats, Ph.D.

Dr. Sonal Vats holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University. She specializes in Time Series Econometrics and Health Economics. Prior to this she held academic positions, including a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and George Washington University's School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where she conducted impactful studies on capitated payments and analyzed medical liability insurance premium datasets. Dr. Vats was an Assistant Professor at Eastern Connecticut State University, where she taught Health Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Statistics for Business. She also worked as a consultant with the World Bank's Development Research Group, managing experimental and behavioral economics projects. Dr. Vats' research interests encompass financial econometrics, health economics and behavioral economics. Dr. Vats is the Managing Partner of SGMA consulting LLC which provides economic consulting services.
