Sharbari Ahmed

Sharbari Ahmed is a television writer, playwright and novelist. She was on the writing team for season one of the ABC television show Quantico and she adapted the novel Rickshaw Girl for the screen (Sleeperwave Films, 2020). She is the author of the novel Dust Under Her Feet and the short story collection The Ocean of Mrs. Nagai. Her play Raisins Not Virgins premiered Off Broadway as part of New York Theatre Workshop’s Next Door 2020 season. Her short fiction has appeared in New England Review, The Gettysburg Review, The Asian Pacific American Journal, Caravan Magazine, Wasafiri, Painted Bride Quarterly and Roanoke Review.
