Professor Bisson is currently working as an Assistant Fire Chief with the Fairfield (CT) Fire Department as the Chief of Training, Operations and Safety and is also the Director of Training at the Fairfield Regional Fire School. With over 34 years of emergency service experience, Professor Bisson has served as a command officer during fire, rescue, chemical and weather related emergencies as well as in the Emergency Operations Center as Unified Commander during Super Storm Sandy in 2012. Professor Bisson chairs the State Firefighter’s Education Committee and the Region 1 Emergency Planning Team ESF#4. Professor Bisson is a nationally certified Fire Officer 4, Fire Instructor 3, Hazardous Materials Technician, and is a State of Connecticut Emergency Medical Services Instructor.
