Sam Schelfhout arrived at Sacred Heart in 2021. Prior to coming to SHU, Sam pursued his graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where he also worked with the Texas Longhorns athletics media relations department.
Sam is a member of the North American Society for Sport History (NASSH) and the International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport (ISHPES). His works have been published in journals such as the International Journal of the History of Sport and Games & Culture.
Since 2024, Sam also serves as the Director of Club Esports at SHU.
