Dr. Patricia Nielsen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive clinical and academic experience.
Dr. Nielsen earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1995. She went on to receive her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) from Valparaiso University in 2005, followed by her family nurse practitioner certificate in 2006. In 2011, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Valparaiso University, where her scholarly project focused on stroke protocols and improving patient outcomes.
In her clinical leadership role, Dr. Nielsen was instrumental in achieving Stroke Certification at St. Mary’s Hospital in 2012, contributing to enhanced standards of care and patient safety. She has been board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2007.
Dr. Nielsen resides in Bourbonnais, Illinois, with her husband. She is a proud mother of three children and grandmother to seven grandchildren.
