Pamela Buck specializes in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature, and her research focuses on the intersections of gender, empire, and material culture. She teaches Romantic and Victorian literature courses as well as core courses in literature and writing.

Her book Objects of Liberty: British Women Writers and Revolutionary Souvenirs (University of Delaware Press) explores how women writers used the material object of the souvenir to circulate political ideas during the French Revolution and Napoleonic era. Articles on Jane Austen and women’s travel writing have appeared in the journals European Romantic Review, LIT, and Women’s Writing.
