Professor Michael Ward began teaching part-time with the department in 1998, and full-time starting in the fall of 2013. Professor Ward spent one year teaching middle school math before spending 15 years teaching high school math. Prior to teaching he worked in the financial industry.
Professor Ward teaches primarily freshmen and sophomores. He brings a wealth of knowledge regarding the mathematics to his students, and plans lessons to meet their needs. Professor Ward is enthusiastic, focuses on breaking down problems, and explaining problems in several ways. Professor Ward is married with five children. He is an avid lacrosse fan, and enjoys playing tennis and platform tennis.
