Mike is a co-founder and co-owner of Black Pond Brews in Danielson, CT. He teaches BRS 201 Operations and Management, using knowledge he gained from the challenges and rewards of launching his own brewery, distillery, and from serving on the board of directors for the CT Brewers Guild. Mike also brings teaching experience from his time as a graduate student in archaeology.

Mike has been brewing for over a decade with his Black Pond Brews co-owner, Cory, based on their shared love of beer. After fostering this passion, receiving awards in homebrew competitions and building a customer base in their community, they turned it into a commercial business and opened their brewery in 2014. Before moving to brewing full-time, Mike worked in academic and contract Archaeology, with a BA in Anthropology from the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Roman Archaeology from Durham University in the United Kingdom. Mike has been an active member in his local business community, not only as the President of the Killingly Business Association, but he also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the CT Brewers Guild.
