Michael D. Larobina was named secretary and general counsel for Sacred Heart University in February 2012. In this capacity he has been responsible for managing the University’s legal affairs. He is a tenured professor with SHU’s Welch College of Business & Technology and has served as associate dean and dean. He also served as director of legal affairs for the City of Stamford.
Currently, he is the provost at Sacred Heart University. In this capacity he serves as the University’s chief academic officer. This includes oversight for the colleges, accreditation, library, grants office, and academic student support services.
He has served on many private and public not for profit boards; most recently the Stamford Board of Education.
