Dr. Mary Beth Kaylor, Ph.D., RN, CNE, APHN-BC, is a nursing educator, researcher, and academic leader with more than 20 years of experience in higher education, public health, health care policy, and online learning. She has held multiple leadership roles at Sacred Heart University including Assistant Program Director for Nursing Executive Leadership and Clinical Nurse Leader programs. Dr. Kaylor is also a Quality Matters Reviewer and an experienced advocate for excellence in online education and curriculum design.

Dr. Kaylor earned her Ph.D. in Nursing with a cognate minor in Health Policy from The Ohio State University, along with a Master of Science in Nursing focused on Nursing and Health Systems Management. She also holds a Master of Public Health degree from Wright State University and certifications in nursing education and online teaching.

Her scholarship focuses on evidence-based practice, nursing education, public health, diabetes care, healthcare technology, and workforce development. She has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous funded research projects addressing topics such as faculty readiness for evidence-based practice, telehealth, alarm fatigue among caregivers of children with Type 1 diabetes, and the lived experiences of nurses and online learners. Dr. Kaylor has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented her work at regional, national, and international conferences.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kaylor has taught extensively in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, with significant expertise in online and hybrid education. She has also contributed substantial professional and community service through institutional review boards, professional nursing organizations, emergency preparedness initiatives, and volunteer organizations.

Recognized for both teaching and research excellence, Dr. Kaylor is committed to advancing nursing education, fostering student success, and improving health outcomes through scholarship, leadership, and innovation.
