Marian Leal, MS

Professor Leal earned a Master of Science in Toxicology a multi-interdisciplinary degree that combines, biology, chemistry, pharmacology and medicine. She is interested in how medications and drugs of abuse affect the human body. She is excited to share her knowledge of physiology and drug action, in teaching students that are interested in healthcare at Sacred Heart University.
While teaching students at Sacred Heart University she has become active in developing pedagogy and publishing case study. She enjoys utilizing problem-based learning activities and games where students need to construct something as part of a learning activity. Her goals are to have students develop problem solving skills and create a classroom environment where students are motivated and engaged in learning.
