Jennifer Melanson

Jen Melanson, MSW, LCSW is a community-based licensed social worker from Massachusetts. In addition to assisting clients who face significant challenges related to housing insecurity, mental health and substance use, Jen develops and implements programming to fill gaps in services within the community she serves.

Jen has extensive experience working in healthcare with more than 20 years of Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit Experience. She is a passionate advocate of patient rights and actively engages in efforts to advance legislative initiatives to benefit patients. Jen’s doctoral research focus is medical trauma. Her work involves engaging providers in actively identifying and assisting patients and clients who experience the unique challenges related to medical trauma.
