Jason S Zhu

Jason joined Sacred Heart University in 2026 and has worked in higher education for several years in a variety of student-facing roles. Throughout his career, he has focused on supporting students through academic advising and student success initiatives. Prior to joining Sacred Heart, Jason served as an academic advisor at the University of Dayton School of Business and later supported nursing students at the University of Bridgeport. He earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education with a concentration in reading and a minor in human development and family sciences from East Carolina University, followed by a Master of Science in education in higher education & student affairs from the University of Dayton. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in educational leadership at the University of Bridgeport. Jason is passionate about helping students navigate their academic journeys while making the most of their college experience. As a first-year academic advisor, he strives to create meaningful connections with students and takes a student-centered, holistic approach to advising that emphasizes personal growth, academic success, and long-term career development.

Outside of the office, Jason enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring Connecticut with his miniature dachshund named Gigi.
