Dr. Cook is a seasoned counselor educator who brings many years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students. He has served in several administrative roles including counseling program director, residency coordinator and applied psychology coordinator. His teaching and research areas of interest focus on individual and group counseling skill development. He has published several journal articles and a book on group work.

Dr. Cook is a National Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in three states. He brings a wealth of real-world experience to his teaching, having worked in a variety of clinical settings such as community mental health centers, hospitals and a university counseling clinic. Dr. Cook is dedicated to supporting students on their educational journey toward becoming compassionate mental health counselors.
