Dr. Grace Chun Guo's research interests include international migrant management, global talent and global career management, organizational justice, entrepreneurial processes and corporate entrepreneurship. Dr. Guo’s scholarly work appeared in leading management journals including Academic Management Perspectives, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Review, International Business Review, Management and Organization Review, among many others. She co-edited two books, Modern Classics in Entrepreneurship Studies: Building the Future of the Field (2022) and Foundational Research in Entrepreneurship Studies: Insightful Contributions and Future Pathways (2018). Dr. Guo received top awards from leading professional associations, such as Academy of Management Best Paper Award, Academy of Management Best Reviewer Award, and the Academy of International Business Emerging Scholar Award. Dr. Guo currently leads the Organization & Social Issues (OSI) research group with a focus on conducting research with a societal impact.

Dr. Guo was the editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship, a peer-reviewed academic journal, from 2014 to 2019. During her editorship, she successfully led the editorial team and transformed the journal to be the Emerald Publication. Dr. Guo’s academic leadership roles also include serving as the guest co-editor for leading management journals such as the International Journal of Human Resource Management and serving as the chair of the Academy of Management Caucus committee.

Dr. Guo was the former Associate Dean from 2020 to 2024 and Academic Faculty Director of the MBA program from 2016 to 2019. During her time as Associate Dean, she oversaw graduate programs, faculty affairs & research, and led the college's accreditation efforts, contributing to the college’s AACSB re-accreditation in 2022.

Dr. Guo currently serves on the AACSB WAME (Woman Advancing Management Education) affinity group steering committee, and serves as a board member of the Chinese-American Professors' Association in Connecticut (CAPA-CT).

Since she joined SHU in 2010, Dr. Guo has taught and designed management and leadership courses in MBA and undergraduate programs. She also co-facilitated the SHU leadership training programs for staff; designed and led the executive leadership training programs for partner organizations.
