Dr. Francis Furmanek's clinical experience has included psychiatric care with adult and adolescent populations experiencing trauma, psychosis, and substance use. Specializing in trauma-informed and gender-affirming care, their scholarly interests consider issues where healthcare and political systems intersect. In the classroom, they center critical thinking and the alignment of research, policy, and practice.
