Deirdre C. Valinsky, MHS, RRA, RT(R)(CT)(ARRT), is an assistant clinical professor and director of the radiography program. She has over 10 years of experience in the radiology field, having worked as an x-ray technologist, CT technologist, and a registered radiologist assistant. She is passionate about radiologic science education and fostering supportive, engaging, learning environments that build student confidence, critical thinking, professionalism, and patient-centered care skills through a strong integration of classroom and clinical experiences. Valinsky has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on improving patient outcomes, communication, and access to imaging care, and remains dedicated to strengthening healthcare education and developing skilled, compassionate imaging professionals. She is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists (CSRT), and the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS).
