Dana Bourque started his interest in beer as many of us do, as an avid homebrewer. He earned a BS in Nutritional Science from the University of Connecticut, which includes in the course of study a firm background in biology, microbiology, and biochemistry and food science. Following completion of the American Brewers' Guild Intensive Brewing Science and Engineering program in 2011, Dana served as a formal apprentice at the Willimantic Brewing Company. Later on, he founded the Firefly Hollow Brewing Company where he worked as Operations Manager for 10 years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Brewers Guild for 4 years, won several awards at competition, and enjoys a tall glass of properly poured Hefewiezen. More recently, Dana joined the team at J.Rene Coffee Roasters in West Hartford, where he oversees Roasting & Quality Management.
