After 20 years of business experience in digital marketing, Dr. Claudio Schapsis joined the academe to research consumer behavior on emerging technologies. He teaches diverse digital marketing and advertising topics. 

His current research focuses on Augmented Reality in retail applications, retailing in the metaverse and customer value creation with NFTs.

Before joining the academe, Dr. Schapsis held senior marketing positions and participated in projects related to mobile marketing, hyperlocal marketing, and location-based services in diverse verticals. He is also the co-founder of Genuin, a startup that created a business video-only social network.
