After receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Eastman School of Music and Performer's Certificates in Voice and Opera from Eastman Graduate School, Cassandra became a recipient of a United States Fulbright Grant to study in Hamburg, Germany. She has sung extensively throughout Germany, performing major operatic roles, touring as soloist with the Hamburg Chamber Orchestra and appearing on radio and television as soloist with the Nord Deutchen Rundfunk Chorus. Her New York debut was through the auspices of the Boris Goldovsky Concert Series. Here, in the United States, she has sung major roles in opera productions performed at Chatauqua Music Festival, Opera Under the Stars and Goldovsky Summer Opera.

After returning to the states, Cassandra became a member of the Metropolitan Opera Studio. She has performed recitals, appeared with major symphonic orchestras and soloed in numerous oratorios both here and abroad. Cassandra's teachers have included Julius Huehn at Eastman, Frau Erna Berger and Frau Meia Stein in Germany and Mme. Thelma Votipka of New York City.
