Cara Erdheim Kilgallen's research and writing focus is on American literature, comedy, environmental theory, disability studies, sports narratives and Jewish American writing. Dr. Kilgallen has published in the fields of American literary naturalism, African American writing, cultural food studies, ecocriticism and Jewish literature. Her current project explores the role of Jewish humor in American writing, the humanities and higher education. She identifies as a creator of stories and a connector of people, an academic, a professor of English, an author, an avid athlete (figure skating, tennis and golf) and a great admirer of dear family and friends.
