Dr. Anna Price is founder of the Sacred Heart University Master of Public Health program.
A scholar in health communication, community-driven research and population health, her work focuses on how social, environmental and policy contexts shape community health outcomes, with particular emphasis on translating evidence into actionable policy and practice. She has authored more than 65 peer-reviewed publications and delivered over 100 professional presentations at national and international conferences.
As a program founder and academic leader, Dr. Price has extensive experience in curriculum design, accreditation-aligned program development, faculty mentorship and the development and evaluation of community-engaged learning models. Her leadership focuses on strategic growth, expanding academic-industry partnerships, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting student success, strengthening faculty mentorship and expanding public health's role in health professions education.
She is a recipient of Sacred Heart University’s Teaching Excellence Award and Research Scholar Award, as well as the College of Health Professions’ Dean’s Service Award and Service-Learning Award. Dr. Price is MCHES- and CPH-certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Health Behavior.
