Upward Bound Tutors Needed

Upward Bound is hiring tutors in the following areas:

• English
• Math: Pre-Algebra through Calculus
• Science: Biology through Physics
• History: U.S. History

Tutors will work with students from Bridgeport high schools. Tutorial sessions take place every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon on SHU's Park Avenue campus. Tutoring sessions can be set up with students remotely with prior approval from the Assistant Director.

Tutors may have more than one student assigned to them per session. Rate of pay is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• A copy of current transcript, applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA in tutorial subject matter
• Must attend training (1 hour) for Sexual Misconduct Prevention
