Thank You for Making the Pioneer Scholarship Gala an Unforgettable Night!

What a night it was—overflowing with heart, inspiration and celebration! The evening came alive with dazzling performances by the Sacred Heart Dance Company and the always entertaining SHUpermen.

Senior Ashley Altieri ’25 moved the room with her powerful words, sharing how scholarships have transformed her life and expressing heartfelt gratitude to the incredible Pioneer community. Governor Ned Lamont made an enthusiastic appearance at the gala, energizing the evening with his spirited remarks and strong support for the cause.

Over 400 alumni, parents, students and friends gathered in a true show of Pioneer pride and generosity, raising over $660,000 to support student scholarships—an extraordinary testament to what we can achieve together.

We were honored to recognize Sacred Heart Trustee John Vazquez MBA ’93, Executive Vice President of Corporate Real Estate at Wells Fargo, and Charlie Baker, NCAA President and former Governor of Massachusetts, for their remarkable accomplishments and leadership.

From start to finish, it was a night to remember—and we are beyond grateful you were a part of it. Your continued support, spirit and generosity light the way for Sacred Heart students, now and into the future.

About the Gala

The Pioneer Scholarship Gala, formerly known as the Discovery Gala, is Sacred Heart’s premier fundraising event focused on scholarship and providing students with an excellent, yet affordable college education, along with the vision and skills to be meaningful contributors to our society. The gala also honors the achievements and accomplishments of alumni and friends of the University.
