Campus Ministry: Jamaica Mission Trip
The SHU Delegation will be living in a small community in Kingston, Jamaica, ran by the organization Mustard Seed Communities (MSC). Students will assist in the activities of Mustard Seed ranging from spending time with the local community, playing with children, building/repairing homes or schools, etc. MSC provides residential care to over 400 children and adults in 13 homes across Jamaica. The populations we care for comprise the most vulnerable groups in Jamaican society: children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS, and young mothers in crisis.Students and Campus Ministry staff may organize additional meetings prior to the trip to discuss important information.
