As a supplement to the Student Accounts Withdrawal & Refund Policy, we are pleased to offer a Tuition Insurance program through GradGuard.

Tuition insurance provides peace of mind by reimbursing semester expenses if a student withdraws at any time during the semester for a covered reason, such as:

  • Covered Serious injury or illness
    • mononucleosis or a severe head injury
  • Covered Chronic illness
    • diabetes or an autoimmune disorder
  • Mental health conditions
    • depression or anxiety

If you withdraw from classes due to covered illness, injury, mental health issues,  or any other eligible reason, the insurance plan can ensure that you receive up to 100% reimbursement for your insured tuition, room and board (on & off campus), mandatory fees and up to $1,000 toward additional school-related expenses (i.e. books, computers, commuter student expenses, etc).

  • Purchase a plan for as little as roughly 1% of your Sacred Heart University expenses.
  • You choose the specific tuition amount you want to insure, by semester or for the full year.
  • All Sacred Heart University actively-enrolled students are eligible to purchase insurance (Graduate, Undergraduate, International, etc). 
  • Must purchase a plan by the start of classes for the semester.
