Fairfield County 911 Dispatch Center on Campus

Sacred Heart University is home to the 911 Dispatch Center for Fairfield County, operated by both the Fairfield and Westport Police Departments. The center is first in the state to combine an emergency center for two towns with an outside partner. While providing another level of safety and security for those on the SHU campus, the on-campus center will combine resources to better serve residents of both towns in the following ways:

• Allows a better flow of communications
• Reduces duplication of services as many incidents impact more than one town
• Increases response time
• Provide another level of security and safety for the SHU campus
