SHU Mobile Access

SHU Mobile Access is a solution that leverages Bluetooth technology in most smartphones to provide access to residence hall rooms, buildings and classrooms. The solution is comprised of mobile enabled door locks, mobile IDs and the HID Mobile Access smartphone app and it allows you to access secure locations by presenting your phone or smart watch instead of a card. You don’t need to launch an application or interrupt what you are doing on your phone in order to gain access. SHU Mobile Access does not replace your SHUCard, but it provides a convenient alternative since most people have their phones at hand at all times.

The cost for SHU Mobile Access is $10. Mobile credentials are tied to the individual phone and are non-refundable. If you replace your phone for any reason you will need to purchase a new mobile credential.
