Bronwyn Cross-DennyBronwyn Cross-Denny, Ph.D., LCSW, is Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions. During her time at the university, Dr. Cross-Denny has worked across colleges and disciplines in collaboration with faculty and staff on a variety of program development and scholarship projects. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has over 26 years of direct practice experience with diverse populations across the lifespan with issues including mental health, grief and trauma.

Her teaching and scholarship expertise include human diversity, social justice, research methods, social determinants of health and global health. She was responsible for leading the successful development and initial accreditation of SHU’s MSW program. Dr. Cross-Denny is author of an edited book Integrated Social Work Practice: Bridging Micro, Mezzo and Macro Level Practice published by Cognella, Inc. She has served in a variety of leadership roles including University Academic Assembly president, Board of Directors for the Council on Social Work Education, Chair of the CSWE Diversity Commission and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health committee.
