Faculty Handbooks

The 2026 version of the Faculty Handbook overrides all previous versions as of July 1, 2026. 2026 changes to sections 5.0 Annual Faculty Evaluation and Pre-Tenure Review, and 6.0 Tenue and Promotion are not substantial and primarily concern reviewers. Those applying for tenure and/or promotion in 2026 who have been relying on the 2024 handbook will see that the only adjustment to the application provision is minor, and only benefits a repeat promotion applicant.

The only exception is for faculty hired into a tenure track position prior to AY23-24, as they are subject to the tenure and promotion standards and procedures found in the 2021 version of the Faculty Handbook.
