All classes starting prior to 11 a.m. will be remote. Classes after 11 a.m. will be in person. Non-essential staff should work remote until 11 a.m. then report to campus as scheduled.
The Sacred Heart Center for Irish Studies emphasizes liberal arts teaching and research, while serving as a beacon for the importance of liberal arts in education. Through this interdisciplinary, intercollegiate initiative Sacred Heart University serves as a leader in the study and appreciation of Ireland’s history, culture and language.
Irish Studies offers the exploration of a culture rich in literature and art; a history that powerfully engages with questions of religion, race and politics; and a landscape that embodies tradition and forward-thinking ideas about ecology, citizenship and culture. Irish Studies extends SHU’s interest and investment in sustainability in its broadest sense.
